TAKING REFUGE

the three jewels: An exploration of living buddhism
FALL 2017

OCTOBER 2nd - NOVEMBER 4th

Taking refuge in the Three Treasures (Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha) is the traditional ceremony of declaring our commitment to live our lives guided by Buddhism.

The Albuquerque Zen Center will offer a five-week course exploring the Three Treasures from October 2nd until November 4th. We will explore the Three Treasures through offering a variety of opportunities. There will be daily sitting practice to help clear and calm the mind. There will be two discussion classes each week, reviewing What the Buddha Taught by Rahula. We will practice sangha through work and social opportunities.

The program is open to anyone interested in deepening their understanding of Buddhism. You participate as your schedule and interest allow.

On November 4th we will have a Taking Refuge ceremony. Anyone, everyone is welcome to take refuge. Even if you have not attended the classes.

If you have any questions about the program, please contact the office by phone or email. Purchasing and reading the Rahula book ahead of time is recommended.
